Recipe anecdote: The berries ‘buckle’ into the cake while baking. This recipe works VERY well with any fresh
berries, especially in combination. A
family favorite is to use 1-1/4 cups of each of raspberries and marion berries
but whatever is in season and is fresh will work! These can also be baked ahead in aluminum foil tins and frozen
for future consumption when fresh berries are no longer available.
