Sugar Cookies

Recipe ingredients and directions:
½ lb butter
½ cup superfine sugar
2 cups sifted flour
Cream together butter, sugar
and flour. Roll dough into a log and
refrigerate several hours or overnight.
When ready to bake preheat oven to 250˚. Slice cookie dough into ¼ inch discs and place on ungreased
cookie sheets. Bake until just slightly
golden. When removing them from the
cookie sheet coat the tops in more superfine sugar then put on a rack to
cool. These cookies will keep a long
time in an airtight container.
