2 cans chicken broth

2 ribs celery, 1 inch cubed

4 carrots, 1 inch cubed

1 can green beans

2 tbsp onion, dry minced

½ cup milk

2 chicken breasts or thighs

1-1/2 cup Bisquick

2 tbsp dry parsley flakes

 

Put broth in dutch oven – bring to a boil – add chicken and cook for 10 minutes.  Add carrots, celery and onion and simmer for 5 minutes.  Add beans and simmer for 5 minutes.  In small bowl mix Bisquick, parsley and milk.  Stir until mixed.  Bring broth and vegetables to medium simmer.  Drop dough on top of broth and vegetables.  Make 8 large or 12 medium dumplings.  Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.  Cover pan and continue simmering for 10 more minutes.  Remove dumplings to dish.  Check broth – may need thickening.
