Recipe ingredients and directions:

 

4 oz firm tofu

½ cup light soy sauce

1 tbs rice vinegar

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp ginger, minced

1 tbs canola oil

½ cup red bell peppers, chopped

2 tbs green onion, thinly sliced

1/8 tsp crushed red pepper

12 oz broccoli stems

2 tbs water

1 tsp honey

1 tsp cornstarch

 

Marinate tofu in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and crushed red pepper.  Marinate for 1 hour. 

 

Steam broccoli until crisp and tender.  Strain the marinade from the tofu into a small bowl.

 

Mix the marinade with water, honey and cornstarch.

 

Heat the oil and add the tofu and red bell pepper.  Add broccoli and marinade.  Use low heat to heat thoroughly.

 

Sprinkle with green onion.
