Recipe ingredients and directions:
800 gm beef stew meat
150 gm bacon, sliced and
sautéed
1 onion
3 carrots
200 gm regular mushrooms,
sliced and sautéed
1 bottle red wine (use the
same wine you’re going to serve with)
2 soup spoons
flour-thyme-bay leaves-salt and pepper
Brown the chunks of meat
with the onions and carrots sliced, in an oven dish. Sprinkle the flour on top, mix well, and add the red wine to
cover the meat. If necessary, add a bit
of water to cover all. Mix well, add
salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaves.
Cover with aluminum foil, and bake in the oven at 350° for and hour and
a half. Add bacon and mushrooms, and
bake 5 minutes more in the oven. Fresh
pasta is excellent with!
