1 cup sourdough starter

4 cups flour

3 cups water, warm

 

In a non-metal bowl mix sourdough starter, flour and water with a non-metal spoon.  Let sit in a warm spot over night (warm room is fine).

 

Remove 1 cup of starter with a non-metal spoon into a glass jar, and store in refrigerator for next use.

 

3 cups flour

2 cups buttermilk

½ tbs baking soda

2 tbs vegetable oil

½ tsp salt

3 eggs

2 tbs sugar

 

In the morning whisk the flour, buttermilk, baking soda, vegetable oil, salt, eggs and sugar into the sourdough mixture.  Use up to10 ounces of beer in the sourdough mixture until desired batter thinness.

 

This recipe makes thin crepe-like pancakes.
